Your HAP prescription plan covers contraceptives at no cost to you

In accordance with the Affordable Care Act, your HAP plan covers contraceptive medications and medical devices approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Some of the many contraceptive options available to you include:

  • Cervical cap
  • Diaphragm
  • Emergency contraceptives
  • Implantable rod
  • Intrauterine systems (“IUD”)
  • Medication taken by mouth (“the pill”)
  • Over-the-counter methods
  • Shot/injection
  • Skin patch
  • Vaginal ring
